REVIEW:

Griff is certainly shrouded in a bit of mystery. But what you do know is a painful story, one that must not have made for an easy life. But like the rest of the boys, Griff has found his family in the Storm MC. But then there's a threat and Griff is really struggling with it and what would happen if something like this were to change. And his thoughts are certainly enlightening. Sophia was certainly the bright light in this story even if she didn't have the greatest of stories either. But she's still able to be what Griff needs and Griff fills a hole in her life. It's certainly amazing to watch their relationship develop and the difficulties they face.

We were also able to get caught up on the rest of the Storm boys and it seems like things with Scott and Harlow might have smoothed out at least a bit. I'm looking forward to Command which will continue their story.

Nina Levine is a talented writer who brings characters to life and engages the reader. I certainly didn't come up for air until I was finished.

His strokes were slow and rhythmic, designed to work a woman to a crazed state. I should know because he was slowly taking me there. He didn’t want me to come yet, but that was getting harder and harder with each new round of pleasure. Each time a wave crashed over me, my muscles threatened to let my body collapse onto the bed. I wasn’t sure how much longer I could hold myself up.

And not to reach out and touch him? That was a whole other level of how-the-fuck-will-I-make-it-through-this?

He pushed another finger inside so I now had two delivering me heaven. I writhed under his touch, my muscles seriously beginning to tire. My eyes squeezed close and my fingers curled into a ball, wanting desperately to cling to something, but unable to latch onto anything the way they were tied. REVIEW:

Ruin & Rule is definitely a dark read. And it shows in the main characters, especially Kill. It's obvious he's gone through a lot of painful things to get where he is and he's still fighting. Although we don't actually get much of his perspective except for the quotes at the beginning of each chapter. It makes things so that we're in the dark as much as Cleo.

The writing certainly made it hard to put down! I didn't want to do anything but read once I picked up this book.

We were in the dark just as Cleo was with her memory loss and it's very difficult to figure out who to trust. And there's information that comes out that just adds to the confusion.

oh, and beware! Ruin & Rule ends in a cliffhanger so if you don't like cliffhangers than you just might want to wait until the sequel comes out!

This was definitely a darker book. It was very realistic in the way that things happened that you believed could actually happen to a person in real life. And the characters were all....like they could have been people you knew. And that really brought this book home to me. It was the characters that had trouble and yet they were still very likable. Take Julia for example. In a different book she might have been portrayed as the problem or bad character but this book is told from her perspective and goes to show that there's always a story.

The writing itself was captivating. It drew you in, held you captive and didn't let you go. The first person narrative was enjoyable as it felt as if Julia was actually telling the story to you after the fact, as if it was a cautionary tale or you were a friend that hadn't been there for that part of her life. This made it a very familiar way to tell the story and I enjoyed it.

Twisted was a dark read but it does show the sex trade in a different light. It certainly gives a new perspective.

Review

The thing that caught my attention right from the start about this book is how the writing caught my attention. And the descriptions were really well done. They got the point across without driving it into your head and annoying you.

Royal Blood is certainly much darker than I usually read. It was very different from any romance books I’ve read before and it certainly stands out to me because of that.

I did know a bit of the surprise that was in store because honestly it’s not that hard to get from that point but what was surprising was the reactions to that surprise. And I did enjoy learning about that. It was certainly different from what I expected.

I’m not going to say much more for fear of spoilers but Royal Blood is a dark, different romance but it was a good read.

Sliding out of the booth, I sauntered across
the pub and ducked behind the counter. Nobody gave me a second glance. They
didn’t know who I was, nobody did, but they knew I wasn’t anybody good. Peering
through the window on the door, Mercy had her back turned, wiping at her damp
T-shirt. I could step into her from behind and show her how hard I was…but that
wasn’t the way this game was going to be played.

Pressing the door open with the flat of
my palm, she looked up at me with blue eyes that gave away two things. Her hair
wasn’t naturally black and by the way her pupils dilated, she was amped up. I
was interested in only one of these observations and by the way my cock began
to stir, there was no guessing which one was the money shot.

Mercy glared up at me, trying to cover
her surprise at my appearance.

“What the fuck do you want?” she spat,
dabbing at her tiny T-shirt with a rag. “You’re not allowed back here.
Employees only."

I stepped closer, not put off by her
tone at all. I’d had worse.

“I don’t give a shit,” I said.

She eyed me, her gaze raking from head
to cock and back up again.

I quirked an eyebrow, my lip curling in
amusement.

“If you want something, just fucking say
it,” she said with an exasperated sigh. “I don’t even know who the fuck you
are."

“X.”

“X, what?” she said, putting her hands
on her hips. Bitch didn’t miss a trick.

“It’s my name."

"X as in the letter x?" She
rolled her eyes.

"Got a problem?" I asked,
inching closer.

“Yeah.” She nodded at me. “You’re in a
staff only area. You might be all buddy buddy with Weiss, but I don’t know you
from shit."

“The mouth on you,” I breathed, totally
turned on. I knew she had bite in her, but fucking Jesus H Christ. The more she
bit, the harder I got. My gaze rested on her tits. Yeah, I was a tits man
through and through and hers...

“You think I’m going to let you fuck
me?” she scoffed, her bluntness doing nothing but turning me on even more.

My gaze snapped back to hers. “Who said
I was going to fuck you?"

She pressed her hips forward, her groin
rubbing into mine. “Your cock."

My hand shot up and grasped the hair at
the nape of her neck. With a sharp tug, her head fell to the side, leaving her
neck exposed. If I was an asshole, I’d just take her now, but I wasn’t…fuck
that. I was an asshole. Asshole was too safe a word to describe the kind
of man I was.

“No,” I said, running my gaze down her
pale neck and over her tits. “No, I’m not going to fuck you, Mercy.” She gave
me a look that screamed ‘offended' and it only made me grin wider. “Not here.
When I fuck you, I’m not going to share your screams with anyone."

Her entire body shivered and I knew I
had her. Next time, she would come to me.

Letting her go, I let her hair run
between my fingers and it took her a beat too long to step back and separate
our bodies.

Giving her one last appreciative look, I
turned on my heel and exited the ‘employee only’ room. I could wait. My cock
strained against my jeans in protest, but this was one desire I was playing out
and savoring.

I strode across the bar and pushed out
the door, rearranging myself.
