Last Kiss of Summer by Marina Adair Release Blitz!

He's one bad apple she just can't resist . . .

Kennedy Sinclair never dreamed she'd own a pie shop and an orchard in a small town like Destiny Bay. But nestled between the mountains and the Pacific Ocean, it's the perfect place to cross something off her "Life's short so eat the icing first" list and start her life over from scratch. Her shop, Sweetie Pies, is famous for its hot, flaky apple turnovers and sinfully delicious deep dish pie. For Kennedy though, nothing is more enticing than the tall, strapping slice of temptation who keeps coming back for more.

Luke Callahan is determined to make his hard cider business a success. With his beloved father's cider recipe and the opportunity of a lifetime in his grasp, he'll stop at nothing to get this deal done. There's just one catch: he needs Kennedy's apples. At first, he thinks it'll be as easy as pie to charm those apples right off her trees. But Kennedy isn't falling for his tender charms or his wicked ways. When the negotiations start heating up, so do the feelings they have for each other. And it takes just one kiss to seal the deal . . .

Review:

I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect from this book. as I was reading. I would assume that the characters would behave in one way but then they would do something I was not expecting. It certainly made for an interesting read as the more times I was proven wrong, the more interested I got.

The plot itself and the relationship between characters was strong. The characters themselves were full of spunk and I really admired both Kennedy and Luke's strength and stubbornness. Neither of them wanted to give in or give up and I admire that quality in the two although it did make for some serious sparks when the two came into conflict.

I really enjoyed the first book in the Destiny Bay Series, Last Kiss of Summer and I look forward to reading more in this series as they become available!

Sugar on Top by Marina Adair Blog Tour!

SUGAR ON TOP by Marina Adair ( Forever Mass Market; Sugar, Georgia Book #2)
She's sassy and sweet
The last thing Glory Mann wants is to become chairman of the Miss Peach Pageant in Sugar, Georgia. Spending months hearing nothing but the clinking of pearls and judgment? No thank you! But when Glory is forced to take the rap for a scandal she didn't commit, the judge sentences her to head the committee. Even worse, her co-chairman is rugged, ripped . . . and barely knows she's alive.

He's ready and willing
Single dad Cal McGraw can't take any more drama in his life. After a difficult divorce, his little girl became a boy-crazy teenager and his hands are full. The last thing he needs is to spend his down time with the town bad girl. Glory is pure trouble-tempting and tantalizing trouble. But he can't deny the strong chemistry between them-or how her touch turns him inside out. Now as squabbles threaten to blow up the contest and the town of Sugar itself, Cal must risk everything on the sexy wild card to get a second chance at love . . .

Review:

This book....wow. I had lots of annoyances with certain believes held by characters, mostly about Glory, especially because the book is told from her perspective as well as Cal's. And they've both got difficult lives(who doesn't?) but they both have things or people that are making them even more difficult.

Although while there were annoyances, there were also lots of laughs as well. Sometimes you just needed it to break the tension. So that was a nice break.

The writing drew the reader into the small town and made you fall in love with Glory and Cal. They also didn't make the "bad guy" seem all bad. Which was a nice idea.

There was a lot of character development that was beautiful to watch. Seeing characters grow, and change and develop into better people by the end of the story was amazing!

I'm certainly interested in reading more from Marina Adair just from this book!
