Chasing Midnight by Shyloh and Alex Morgan

(Image found on Goodreads)
Warning: This Book is not for younger audiences

Mhisery Bellemy hates when she has to return to her home town to help take care of her father, who has descended into alcoholism after the death of her mother. Family issues and a client who thinks something very different from her, but then enter Quinn. He makes her happy and she's happy to have him, even if she'll only have him while she's in Midnight, Georgia. But when things get tough, will she cut her losses and run? Find the official description on Goodreads.

I have to say that I loved the writing style! Especially their descriptions. They were really detailed and the authors included a very detailed description of the setting in the beginning of the novel. It was amazing! I could picture the scenes taking place in front of me.

The main characters, Mhisery and Quinn are strong, while not being perfect. Each have their flaws and I loved getting to know each character better. As you delved deeper into their characters you found yourself caring more and more about them and their futures.

Chasing Midnight gives several perspectives and throughout  most of the book it seems to be focusing on Quinn's family, more so than just Quinn and Mhisery. Which was different and unique. It was certainly different from all of the books I've read in the past.

There were parts in this book that literally hurt my heart. But then there would be scenes you'd just love to laugh at. It was a good mix of emotions.

Chasing Midnight is a unique book that will play out in front of your eyes as you read it.
