When desire is tainted with deception and lies, does that person become less desirable? 

Could love be the one thing powerful enough to push them past the deception and down to the real person underneath the facade?

REVIEW:

Tainted Deception was an interesting book. While we gained both Ivy and Chase's perspective, Chase's alter-ego, Chaser, also gets his perspective told. It was certainly a unique way to handle things. I did find that the writing style was a bit awkward, but that also could have been the first person perspective so keep that in mind.

The plot was certainly an intriguing one. And it deals with the whole Don't Judge a Book by it's cover and Be Yourself morale. Which I think is certainly a great thing to tackle!

The ending was also well done, and finished the book nicely.

“Where to?” I ask.

He shrugs as he answers, “We can sit up there. That
way we don't have to try to see over anybody’s head or anybody kicking us in
the back.” He gestures toward the top of the stairs.

Great.

“Okay.”

Not great, nope not great. Me and stairs don't get
along. I have a tendency of falling going up them and going down them. Deep
breath in and out. Here’s to hoping. I make my way up the stairs, and I’m
almost at the very top when it happens. My knee gives out, and I’m on all fours
with my ass in the air for Marcus to see as he stands behind me. Ugh…I was
wrong, so very wrong. This could get so much worse, and I have a feeling it
will. I feel two hands slide around my ribs, slowly helping me to stand.

“Are you sure you're okay?” Marcus asks.

I give him a tight smile. “Yeah, fine. It’s just…I’m
nervous. Plus, me and stairs don't get along that well,” I say in a soft voice.

He helps me the rest of the way to the top of the
stairs then turns right. He moves down a couple a seats before sitting. I don’t
say anything as I take a seat beside him. I rub my right knee. Man, it hurts. I
know I’m going to have a bruise come tomorrow.
