Tainted Deception by Aleya Michelle Blog Tour!

TAINTED DECEPTION by Aleya Michelle
Genre: Romantic Suspense
Standalone Novel
- SYNOPSIS -
Ivy Maisen thinks she knows exactly what type of guy Chase Hudson is — billionaire, extremely good looking, cocky as hell, and a guy that women salivate over...
But looks can be deceiving...

Underneath the tuxedo, luxurious demeanor and smooth character is a bad boy covered in tattoos, piercings, the lead singer in a band, and he owns three of the clubs that Ivy frequents.

Oh and he rides a Harley...
Will Ivy finally open her eyes and allow herself to see the real Chase or will she reject his alter-ego and refuse his advances again and again?

When desire is tainted with deception and lies, does that person become less desirable?
Could love be the one thing powerful enough to push them past the deception and down to the real person underneath the facade?

REVIEW:

Tainted Deception was an interesting book. While we gained both Ivy and Chase's perspective, Chase's alter-ego, Chaser, also gets his perspective told. It was certainly a unique way to handle things. I did find that the writing style was a bit awkward, but that also could have been the first person perspective so keep that in mind.

The plot was certainly an intriguing one. And it deals with the whole Don't Judge a Book by it's cover and Be Yourself morale. Which I think is certainly a great thing to tackle!

The ending was also well done, and finished the book nicely.

Crossing the Line by Samantha Long Re-Release!

~*~ RE-RELEASE ~*~
Title: Crossing the Line
Series: Kismet Series Book 1
Author: Samantha Long
Publisher: Booktrope Publishing
Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000037_00021]
review
Samantha Long has created a good romance. The writing was well done and the style kept the reader engaged. Not to mention the plot was a great read. The characters were well created and the secondary characters were just as fierce and have as much personality as the main characters, and this was shown.

Crossing the Line follows the up and downs of real life, from the perspective of a divorcee with twin daughters and a bachelor who didn't think he'd want a ready made family. It was intriguing to see this different perspective on life from the one I have.

But it was also hard at times. You got so much into the head of Victoria and Nick that their difficulties are also yours.

Crossing the Line was a great read!

Victoria doesn't have time for love after a bitter divorce. She's too busy. Her twin daughters are approaching puberty and her interior design business is expanding. So when Nick enters her life, she has to remember why she's too busy for a little lust. Which is difficult considering he's the contractor hired to redo her office. Besides, his tattoos and MMA past make him a poor candidate for a woman who's trying to level out her life.

Nick thinks Victoria's hot but doesn't want to get involved with a woman who has kids, much less one that's been hurt by a man. Too much baggage. He's sworn off relationships, tending to stick with one-night stands. Victoria is a client, one he doesn't want to cross the line with, but the more he's near her, the quicker his resolve weakens.

about-the-author
A multitasking mom of four from Alabama, Samantha Long has been writing since the first grade. Samantha’s first story consisted of a one-paged fantasy biopic entitled, "If I Was An Indian". Samantha’s racy writing tastes were evident at a young age, with the plot consisting of a warrior husband, elite living quarters, and an affair with the Chief. When she’s not writing, doing laundry, or changing diapers, you can find Samantha in front of her DVR catching up on episodes of Supernatural and Castle or enjoying sweet tea with a movie or good book. Samantha’s writings are inspired by the works of Nora Roberts, Lauren Kate, Kresley Cole, and Gena Showalter, to name a few.
