NINA! Why must you make me cry? Oh my goodness, I cannot count the amount of times I had tears in my eyes or that I was crawling ever closer to tears. This book was beautifully painful and wow, it's a hurt you come to crave because at least there is still things going on and there's still a small amount of hope.
Nina Levine continues to write amazing characters, touching stories and draw readers in, making them comfortable in her books...even if tears may come into play.
I really enjoyed Be the One. For all of the above reasons but also it just seemed to mirror real life. Sometimes it just seems as if you can't find a foot to stand on and I think that's a lot of what comes into play in Be The One. And the way that the characters handle it isn't perfect but it makes them real and it makes it easy to connect with them.
I love Nina Levine and I cannot wait for more from her! Whatever may come.

His hands grab me under my arms and pull me up. He lifts me and turns around to deposit me on the vanity. After I’ve wrapped my legs around him, he kisses me hard and growls, “I did consider bossing you into sucking my dick for longer but it turns out I want inside of your pussy more than your mouth.”
“Turns out I want that, too. You gonna take care of that or are you all talk and no action?”
