Two Bar Mitzvahs by Kat Bastion and Stone Bastion

(Image found on Goodreads)
"Sp we'd taken things slow. And I'd do it all over again." Kat Bastion with Stone Bastion, Two Bar Mitzvahs
WARNING: Not intended for younger audiences.

Hannah and Cade are finally together and Hannah is slowly starting to trust both Cade and their relationship. But when Cade's ex comes back will Cade be able to balance everything that's going on in his life, as well as keeping a healthy balance with Hannah. Or will things fall apart? Find the official description on Goodreads.

So I was really excited to open this book again, and even more exciting is the fact that Cade's narrating again. I have to say that he is easily my favorite character in this series and I always enjoy his perspective. Mostly because I like the fact that he is male and is narrating the whole book. It's unique or at least unique to me and I always enjoy hearing his thoughts and seeing how they might differ from mine.

Two Bar Mitzvah's starts off where One Wedding left off. Or at least for the most part it does. It was good in a way that it did so because than we could just continue on where we left off.

Well the plot wasn't entirely unique many of the smaller details were. Such as Madison's addiction. That was definitely not where I thought this book would go and it was certainly a shocking thing when it happened. Although to be fair it's a valid addiction. Just not one that many people hear about a lot and it was very shocking because it was far from what I thought it would be.

I fell even more in love with both Cade and Hannah throughout this book and the character growth was amazing. I enjoyed Two Bar Mitzvahs and it was a marvelous addition to the No Weddings series. It is being released on October 20th, and you should be sure to check out both Two Bar Mitzvahs and the rest of the No Weddings series.

Irresistible Forces by D.D. Ayres

(Image found on Goodreads)

Shay Appleton couldn't be happier with the dog she rescued. Especially because he helps keep her ex away. But when a police officer shows up claiming that her dog is in fact named Bogart and is his partner, she can't believe it. Especially because Bogart is protection against both her ex and the past that is coming to haunt her. James just can't resist the woman who saved his partner and is strangely drawn to her. But when Shay's past catches up to her, can Bogart and he keep her safe? Find the official description on Goodreads.

Irresistible Forces starts out with a curious scene. One that raises questions for readers. But one that is also a way for readers to connect with the character of James. It's clear he cares for his K-9 partner and that's just sweet. Especially when we get to see the two interact. It's clear that they have a bond and it's great to read those scenes where James is interacting with Bogart. It's amusing as well. But again, helps readers feel like James is more flesh and blood than a character written by a writer.

Shay just made me ask a lot of questions. I was curious as to her past, especially because she was leery of going to the police. When you do find out about her past you realize that Shay is much stronger than you previously thought and it's amazing that she hasn't turned into someone who's a hermit or bitter. Instead she tries to live her life as normally as she can.

I loved the interactions between characters as well as Bogart. They could be humorous, they could be serious but they always felt as if it was important in some way. They kept the reader engaged and it was great to see.

I loved reading Irresistible Forces and you won't go wrong if you pick it up. Irresistible Forces is the first book in the K-9 Rescue series and is set to be released on August 26th, 2014. Think you'll pick it up?
