Addison Kline did a good a good job of conveying the difficulty and intensity of that situation. Averi's voice came through loud and clear.
It was a bit strange having the main characters already be in a relationship but since there were lots of difficulty needing to be confronted as well as the fact that Averi and Colt's relationship was secret, at least from her brothers.
There was never a dull moment but there were plenty of hard moments. Addison Kline allows you to see what Colt and his mother suffered at Colt's father's hand and why Black Horse is so determined to come after Colt and Averi both.
It was a difficult read, one with secrets being revealed but it was a great read!
