Review:
It feels as if we've been away from the world of Amberlyn and Declan for a while now and I, for one, was glad to return. I enjoyed the two perspectives of Amberlyn and Declan because it allowed the reader to understand where both were coming from. It was good to see Amberlyn stand up for what she wanted but be willing to compromise. Declan is such a sweetheart and the two together can almost be too much sometimes.
I promised I'd only read a chapter or two before getting to schoolwork but I couldn't keep that promise and before I knew it I had read the entire book in one sitting. It's just one of those books that I couldn't seem to put down.
There were lots of secrets revealed and most of them I honestly didn't expect. I could certainly understand where Amberlyn was coming from and it was good to see her address those issues with Declan even if she was debating the wisdom of doing so.
I really enjoyed Becoming the Whiskey Princess and I cannot wait to see what's next from Toni Aleo!
