Run to You by Rachel Lacey Virtual Tour!

ONE LITTLE LIE. A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE.

RUN TO YOU
Risking it All #1
Rachel Lacey
Releasing Aug 30th, 2016
Forever

ONE LITTLE LIE. A WHOLE LOTTA TROUBLE.

Moments after meeting the most gorgeous guy ever, Gabby Winters promptly gets stung by a zillion yellow jackets and falls-not gracefully-into a stream. Yup, Ethan Hunter is trouble with a capital "hot," and Gabby definitely needs to keep her distance. Except in the small town of Haven, there's nowhere to hide from Ethan's sexy, infectious grin . . . and all the residents are conspiring against her.

At the center of the town's matchmaking is Ethan's grandmother, who's convinced their relationship is a done deal. Rather than break her heart, Gabby and Ethan find themselves cornered into pretending to be falling in love. The problem: there's serious sizzling attraction between them. And if this charade continues, they won't fool just the entire town - they might fool themselves too . . .

REVIEW:

I laughed my butt off throughout this book although it also did have it's serious moments. It was a humorous read and you felt bad for both Gabby and Ethan! But then there was also Ethan's grandmother who added such depth to the book as well, not to mention a certain presence that worked really well.

The plot wasn't something that hadn't been done before but Rachel Lacey made sure to keep it fresh and ensure her characters kept the plot moving without stagnating.

Overall this was a really good read and one I would recommend to any romance fans!

I've got a big dick and an even bigger bank account. That's pretty much where my bio ends.
Honestly, I don't need to say anything else. I've just sold 99% of women on going home with me.
Do I sound like an asshole to you?
That's because I am.
And guess what? It works for me just fine.
Or at least it did.
Until I met her.
Books talk about sparks flying. Fuck that shit. With her, it was like emergency flares mixed with jet fuel. Or maybe just straight up napalm.
Only one problem.
She wouldn't tell me her name or her number when she disappeared from the hotel room after the hottest fucking night of my life.
Now I've had a taste of unicorn pussy—the sweetest, rarest of all pussy—and I need it again.
So what's an asshole to do?
I took this problem to the street. A missed connection gone viral.
And when I find her? I'm keeping her.

Witness to Passion by Naima Simone

(Image found on Goodreads)

Fallon is just not having a good day, scratch that she's not having a good year. And it's made even worse when Shane, the man who she kissed years ago when she was a teenager and who has been avoiding her for years, finds out and is immediately all over her protection. Sparks fly, but danger is all around them. Find the official description on Goodreads.

Witness to Passion starts off with a bang and barely slows down! It's certainly intriguing getting to experience everything that happens to Fallon, especially because of the things that happen to her. She's just not very lucky. I loved Fallon, she was fun, protective and loyal. What more do you need in a female character? Shane was hawt, and admittedly an alpha male. He knows how to protect those he considers his own. There was some awkwardness between the two and this makes the reader feel a little awkward at times.

There wasn't just the action part of the plot, there was also the interpersonal problems that need to be worked out between the two characters. Which is nice to have.

Witness to Passion was an amazing read, one that I enjoyed.

Hunter by Mandy Harbin

Hunter (The Bang Shift Series)
By Mandy Harbin
Genre: Military, Romantic Suspense

After finally getting out of her disastrous relationship, Maya Carmichael has sworn off all bad boys. Sure they’re hot. The attitude? No thanks. But when her car is vandalized while on a night out with her roommate, she realizes her ex is truly sadistic. Her friend insists they lay low for a few days while the cops do their thing. Unfortunately her temporary haven will throw her in the path of another bad boy. Oh, she’s heard stories about her roommate’s brother, Hunter, and he’s just the type she wants to avoid. Until she sees him … and all good intentions fly out of her busted windshield.

Hunter Anderson might be the easygoing jokester within the Bang Shift crew—the small Arkansas town’s mechanics and the government’s secret mercenaries—but underneath his lighthearted exterior lurks demons of a past he’d love nothing more than to forget. Working on cars and taking the occasional contracted mission help, but he fears nothing will stop his past from coming back to haunt him. No one has tried penetrating the façade to get to the real person below. No one, until Maya.

The attraction is undeniable, but there’s more to Hunter than he can ever let on, and for Maya, this hot distraction makes it easy to forget the real danger she’s in. It has nothing to do with losing her heart to him.

When really it has everything to do with just that.

Review:

Hunter lives up to the first book in the Bang Shift Series. It involved action, but it wasn't constantly going on and sometimes it didn't even have to do with the bad guys. There's also the fact that there were some interesting connections that I didn't understand until they were explained and there were numerous connections made during the book that will be interesting to see play out in further books. They gave you something to whet your appetite and it definitely makes you crave more.

That being said the story and characters of Hunter and Maya were beautifully done. There were flaws, they were far from perfect, and that was clear in their interactions and thoughts. They struggled just as we do but they also had the additional difficulty of the main plot of the book to deal with as well as trying to resist one another.

If you enjoyed Brody, then you will certainly love to read Hunter and look forward to further books in the series. And if you haven't read either book, you should certainly give them a look!

Boss by Tara Oakes Release Blitz!

BOSS IS NOW LIVE!

SYNOPSIS
******This book is intended for mature audiences, over 18 years of age
This book is a sequel, Book 2 in the Chianti Kisses series.

Everybody expects something of Dom, they have his entire life. His family expects HIM to lead, provide, and support them. His company and employees expect him to keep their business successful, intact. His wife, V, expects him to be the beST man he can be.

And then there are the expectations of his father and his "associates."

Dom's father, although long past, had left unfulfilled expectations of his own. Everything he built, bled for, killed for... died for, was left in Dom's hands.

Dom tried to change things, set things straight, atone for the sins of his father and father-in-law. But, it hasn't been easy. Many others benefitted from his business dealings, and aren't willing to loose them so easily.

Emilio Rizzo has vowed to keep things the way they were. He's waged a war to take full control from Dom, with no concern for the toll it will take on everyone involved. Innocents will be harmed, lives will will be taken, and hard-earned progress will be lost unless Dom steps in and fights the way he was born to.

Someone will be disappointed. Will it be his family, his employees, his father, or his beloved V, when he becomes...

BOSS.
If you'd like to purchase Boss, feel free to grab your copy here:Amazon US

Boss:
It was really great to catch up with V and Dom, especially now that they're married and living together. It's nice to see that their relationship had developed to that point and they were happy. Although I have to admit that I did want to smack both at one point or another. Dom didn't seem to be learning lessons from his past and it was slightly frustrating. So yes, I have to say I loved the characters. And we were introduced to two new perspectives; that of Carmine and Theresa. Who I have to say I cannot wait to hear more from.

It was amazing that Tara Oakes didn't portray V and Dom's life as perfect. There were ups and downs that they had to work out in order to remain happy with each other. It didn't just fall into place and require no work at all. Not to mention there was more "family" involved. And I have to say I'm shocked that I'm actually finding these types of romance more and more interesting as I find some more and more family or mob romances.

I WANT MORE RIGHT NOW. Can that be a thing?

Let It Be Me by Toni Aleo

(Image found on Goodreads)
"My reaction to him is baffling. I've never been this worked up." -Toni Aleo, Let It Be Me
WARNING: Contains material not suitable for younger audiences.

Violet is married, not happily by a long shot. Rob has her fearful to leave. But when Tucker takes over the clinic where she works will Violet be able to ask for help or will everything finally end? Find the official description on Goodreads.

Let It Be Me contains abuse. I'm going to say that up front so that if that's a trigger for you than you now know about it. It may deal with difficult issues, but Toni Aleo draws you in right away. It is very different from her Assassin's Series, Bellevue Bullies Series and The Whiskey Prince Series. But it still has that writing that is recognizable as Toni Aleo's style.

Let It Be Me gives readers a look into a relationship that many look upon only from the inside and feel scorn or annoyance with. I have never dealt with these issues but I believe that Toni Aleo portrays this realistically and respectfully at the same time. Not to mention that Toni Aleo is very descriptive and it is very well done.

Violet's voice and personality was marvelous. I really enjoyed her voice. Her personality really shone through although at times it was taken over by fear. Violet was my favorite character and I found myself cheering her on as I read through the book.

Let It Be Me was a great read, and one that deals admirably with such a difficult topic. I would willingly suggest this book to anyone and everyone.

A Silent Prayer by Samreen Ahsan

(Image found on Goodreads)
"...and then she leaves me in the darkness that she has cast on me with her one last look." -Samreen Ahsan, A Silent Prayer

Adam Gibson has it all...or so everyone thinks. But when he runs into the religious Rania, and has several unexplainable incidents he can't help but find himself reconsidering his life and religious choices when she enters her life. But Rania has a brutal past that is determined to haunt her, one that she can't leave behind her. Will Adam be able to gain and keep her trust? Or will everything shatter like glass? Find the official description on Goodreads.

A Silent Prayer is told from a first person perspective. The chapters switch between Rania and Adam. At first, when I found out that the chapters would be separated this way, I thought there might be confusion. But it was quite clear throughout the book whose chapter you were on and who was telling their story. Their thoughts were clear and it was easy to determine which chapter was which. I enjoyed reading each character's chapters and gaining understanding about their pasts and present. As well as the thoughts that went through their heads. It was interesting and made it simple to understand what was going through their heads at any time.

We Are The Goldens by Dana Reinhardt

(Image found on Goodreads)

Nell and Layla, the two Golden sisters, close as can be. But as Nell enters high school, they start drifting apart. Layla has a secret, one that will destroy reputations. Nell knows but doesn't want to tell because they've always stuck together. But Nell knows its wrong and she can't help but feel like she needs to do something with it. There are so many things going on now that Nell's a high school student and she's feeling the pressure. But will she be able to tell someone about Layla or will it all just blow up? Find the official description on Goodreads.

We Are The Goldens is told from Nell's point of view. I don't usually enjoy first person perspective but in this book it really worked well. You were easily able to see Nell's perspective and develop your own opinions. Not to mention you saw the conflicts she was experiencing. The way it was told, it seemed as if it was a letter, one that you just happened to stumble upon one day. Then there's the fact that the way that Nell adds in certain comments to her telling of events makes you jump to conclusions about the ending.
